Why Muddy Nurseries is Special
We’re proud to be more than just a nursery. We are a community of educators, families, and children learning together. Everything we do is guided by our three core values:
The World of Muddy Nurseries
At Muddy Nurseries, each of our settings has its own personality — shaped by the people, community, and environment around it. What unites us is a shared set of values, a thoughtfully designed curriculum, and a belief that every child, family, and team member should feel seen, supported, and valued.
We invest deeply in our people so they can offer the very best care. All staff take part in two full training conferences each year, supported by ongoing development that brings the latest ideas and inspiring practice into our nurseries.
Nature and community sit at the heart of what we do. Children build real connections with the world around them — through local walks, partnerships with care homes, and parent-led community projects — and spend meaningful time outdoors, from allotments and gardens to Forest School sessions wherever possible.
Staying Connected With Families
We want you to feel part of nursery life every day. Families stay connected through regular photos and updates on our app, termly parent meetings, and a calendar of events — from festive celebrations to our much-loved Annual Art Exhibition. And at the heart of it all is your child’s key person, building a strong, trusting relationship with your family.
A Place to Belong
Whether it’s planting seeds in our garden, reading stories under a tree, or sharing lunch with friends, every moment at Muddy Nurseries is designed to make children feel curious, capable, and deeply cared for.
Because for us, early education isn’t just preparation for school, it’s the beginning of a lifelong love of learning, community, and connection.
What Parents Say
"I cannot express how sad I am that this chapter in Nathan’s life has come to an end. You have all done the most amazing job of preparing him for starting school, but I am (of course) completely unprepared for the goodbyes!"
Natasha
“My Son absolutely loves his nursery and the teachers within. He walks in with a smile and out with a smile. What more could a parent ask for...I've watched my Son grow from strength to strength and really feel like Little totts have made his next step to big school at lot less daunting.. as a family we couldn't be happier.”
Amy
“For the last two years, Little Tots has become a second home for our daughter. All the amazing staff helped our daughter to grow and develop in ways we could only dream of. What I think truly sets Little Tots apart is their team. Their genuine care for every child creates a very positive learning experience."
