Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is built around 18 inspiring goals designed to spark curiosity, confidence, and joy from birth to age five. Children build dens, cook recipes from scratch, write their first poems, and spend time with older generations, with each experience helping them grow in meaningful, memorable ways.

Every goal is carefully connected to the seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This means your child is supported across every aspect of their development, while still learning through play, exploration, and real-world experiences.

Nature

Nature is at the heart of how children learn with us. From feeling soil between their fingers to noticing the changing seasons, these small everyday moments help children develop emotional resilience, physical confidence, and a deep sense of calm. Our curriculum encourages children to slow down, look closely, and build a lifelong connection with the natural world.

Community

Feeling part of a community helps children understand who they are and how they belong. Through friendships at nursery, links with local organisations, and opportunities to help and participate, children learn about kindness, responsibility, and connection. We see every child as a future citizen — and the more rooted they feel in their community, the more confident they become.

Creativity

Creativity fuels imagination, language, and joy. Whether children are painting, dancing, storytelling, or exploring sounds and poetry, creative expression helps them make sense of the world. It also builds the strong language skills that form the foundation for future learning. We celebrate every child’s ideas, however big or small, and give them the space to express themselves freely.

Learning in Inspiring Environments

Every classroom is thoughtfully designed to feel calm and inviting, with soft, neutral colours that help children focus. Each area has a clear purpose — from cosy reading corners to creative exploration spaces — and we use open-ended resources that spark imagination, curiosity, and deep learning.

Our educators act as guides and co-learners, observing closely, asking open questions, and extending children’s thinking through gentle inquiry rather than instruction.

Communication

We use our Interactions Ladder to guide rich, meaningful conversations with children. Through open-ended questions, shared discovery, and gentle prompts, we help children build language, express their ideas, and practise new skills so they stay with them long term.

A Montessori Approach

In our Montessori settings, children learn through real, everyday activities that build confidence and independence. Classrooms are carefully arranged so children can choose their own work, follow their interests, and develop practical life skills at their own pace.

Physical Movement & Outdoor STEM

Children learn best when they move — so we plan for 3–4 hours of active time every day. Through energisers, movement games, Forest School, garden exploration, and local outings, we build strong bodies, confident movers, and curious young scientists who investigate the world around them.
